We believe in the power of automation and carefully applied AI/ML to solve problems that are beyond what the unaided human mind can tackle on its own. In the first phase of our development, we are using our map of odor along with cutting-edge generative AI to create the next generation of aroma molecules (e.g., the ingredients in the fragrances we wear and the products we use). Beyond fragrance machine olfaction has application across many industries, including manufacturing, military, medicine, and more. Working for Osmo means solving problems using digital olfaction for these customers. We're a hybrid company with our headquarters in New York, NY, a new facility under construction in central New Jersey, and offices in Somerville, MA.
Osmo is seeking an SVP/President of Fragrance who will be a transformative leader responsible for generating business, partnerships and defining and executing the strategic vision for Osmo’s fragrance operations. This role encompasses identifying and securing high-impact partnerships, scaling emerging brands, and leveraging Osmo’s proprietary technologies to position the company as a global leader in the fragrance market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and the executive leadership to achieve commercial success while maintaining the company’s commitment to science, sustainability, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision
Define and implement the overarching vision for Osmo’s fragrance division, aligning with the company’s growth strategy.
Develop and execute multi-year plans to expand market share, penetrate new markets, and drive revenue growth.
Serve as the face of Osmo’s fragrance division, representing the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the division.

Commercial Excellence
Lead strategic negotiations, including core listings, pricing, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
Maximize the use of Osmo’s proprietary AI tools, such as “Weather Map” and “Inspire,” to drive differentiation and competitive advantage.
Oversee market-specific strategies to ensure optimal deployment of capabilities, including regulatory and application-specific solutions.

Brand & Market Development
Build and execute go-to-market strategies for emerging and niche fragrance brands, ensuring commercial success.
Develop high-impact partnerships with digital platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and traditional retail channels.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to craft compelling brand narratives that resonate with diverse consumer bases.
Drive growth by engaging with specialty retailers, influencers, and other strategic partners to amplify brand visibility.

Required Qualifications
Proven track record of leadership within the fragrance, beauty, or luxury goods industries with 10+ years of experience.
Strong expertise in e-commerce, DTC strategies, and scaling emerging or niche brands.
Robust network within the fragrance, beauty, and lifestyle sectors.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and brand development.
International sales experience and multilingual abilities are preferred.
Flexibility and availability for both in-office and remote collaboration while maintaining proximity to NYC and suburban NJ for candidate site visits.
Preferred Skills
Extensive relationships in the fragrance and consumer goods sectors
Experience with emerging brands, DTC strategies, and/or AI
Knowledge of cutting-edge trends and consumer insights in the fragrance industry.
