Position Overview:

As a Software Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our organization. Your expertise in cloud platforms, event-driven architecture, and database design will drive the creation of scalable and innovative software solutions that will continue to advance Pager’s technical capabilities. In this role, you will be at the forefront of translating business requirements into technical strategies, collaborating across teams, and ensuring the delivery of robust, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of software architectures that align with business goals and technical requirements. Drive the architectural vision while ensuring the adoption of best practices.
  • Apply your deep understanding of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) to design cloud-native solutions that maximize performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Design and implement event-driven systems that facilitate seamless communication and data flow across services, ensuring adaptability to changing business needs.
  • Utilize your expertise in database design to create data management strategies that ensure data integrity, efficient querying, and optimal storage.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering teams, to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Champion the architectural vision, aligning technical decisions with long-term business goals. Guide engineering teams towards scalable, maintainable solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a Software Architect, driving architectural decisions and leading software design.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure, with hands-on experience in designing cloud-native solutions.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and its implementation in complex systems.
  • Extensive experience with database design and optimization, ensuring data integrity and efficient querying.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and product teams, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in designing large architecture solutions with observability and scalability in mind.

For Colorado, Nevada, and New York-based employment: In accordance with the Pay Transparency laws the pay range for this position is $170,000 to $215,000. The compensation package may include stock options, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, generous PTO, stipends for professional development, and wellness benefits. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The range listed only applies to Colorado, Nevada, and New York.
