Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on both backend and frontend development. Your expertise will drive the creation of scalable, robust, and high-performance software systems that deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of cloud platforms to design and build applications that harness the strengths of cloud providers in order to optimize performance, security, and scalability in the cloud environment
  • Take ownership of both frontend and backend development, crafting cohesive and seamless experiences for our users by leveraging your proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like React to contribute to the creation of user interfaces that delight and engage
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture to facilitate efficient data flow and communication across services to ensure the reliability and resilience of our applications
  • Demonstrate your skills in relational database design and optimization to guarantee that our applications store and retrieve data efficiently while maintaining data integrity
  • Implement monitoring and observability practices to gain insights into application performance and identify areas for improvement while building applications with scalability in mind to prepare our systems for future growth
  • Implement robust error handling strategies to enhance application resilience and user experience
  • Lead the software development lifecycle for features, including planning releases and guiding them through QA, releasing to production, and maintaining both new and existing services
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as a mentor to junior engineers, leading by example and guiding them towards adopting best practices and sound engineering principles
  • Communicate technical terms and goals in a non-technical way to our cross-functional teams in order to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Create engaging and responsive front-end interfaces using modern technologies like React, ensuring exceptional user experiences
  • Collaborate closely with the infrastructure team to ensure seamless deployment, scalability, and optimal performance of our cloud-based applications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of professional experience in full stack software development, with a strong emphasis on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Proficiency in languages such as TypeScript, Java, Python, or similar
  • Proficiency in frameworks such as Node.js, NestJS, Next.js, or similar
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
  • Strong frontend development skills implementing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code using React and Storybook
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into functional user interfaces
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and optimization techniques
  • Experience with observability tools and practices for monitoring application performance
  • Experience with Accessibility initiatives
  • Experience with moving code through reviews, QA, releasing to production, and providing ongoing maintenance
  • Experience in conducting comprehensive code reviews
  • Proven track record of building scalable and robust applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Prior experience in mentoring or leading a team is a plus

For Colorado, Nevada, and New York-based employment: In accordance with the Pay Transparency laws the pay range for this position is $120,000 to $149,000. The compensation package may include stock options, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, generous PTO, stipends for professional development, and wellness benefits. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The range listed only applies to Colorado, Nevada, and New York.

Offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
