What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who can help the Perchwell team accelerate its code deployment process through the development of better testing and automation throughout our entire stack.

Our Devops team partners with our Application teams to discover and understand what is needed to increase ownership and empowerment across the whole Engineering and Product department.

In this role, you’ll work out of our New York City Office in Soho Manhattan at least 3 days/week.

What You’ll Work On

  • Partner with Engineering teams to build tooling and monitoring capabilities that help increase team ownership and transparency over our infrastructure

  • Implement new configuration management tools, and design solutions pushing the philosophies of automation and infrastructure as code

  • Design, build and maintain the core infrastructure of our platform, utilizing best practices of containerizing and automation to facilitate CI/CD pipelines

Required For the Role

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience

  • Deep experience with AWS cloud services including (but not limited to): EC2, RDS, EKS, CloudFront, ECR, S3, IAM, CodeBuild, Lambda, and Route53

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools

  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools

  • 3+ years of experience collaborating on software development projects

  • Deep experience with at least one common programming language

  • Familiarity with our core tech stack of Docker, K8s, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD

Bonus Points if You Have Experience with Any of the Following

  • Administration of PostgreSQL databases, Elasticsearch, Ruby on Rails applications

  • Administration of Sidekiq, SQS, RabbitMQ, or other queue or Pub/Sub implementations

  • Working with and administering Data pipelines for ETL purposes

  • Implementing and working with both internal and external RESTful APIs

  • Familiarity with SRE fundamentals, and pushing best practices with Reliability, Observability, and support

Compensation:

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. Our ranges are based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including skills, job-related knowledge and depth of work experience.

The compensation for this position is $140,000- $165,000 base salary + equity + benefits
