The Opportunity
As a Strategic Finance Lead, you'll be a key member of the finance team and partner directly with the CFO to provide essential financial insights, guide strategic decision-making, and optimize business performance. You'll be a trusted strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering and use your strong business judgment and financial modeling expertise to excel in our fast-paced environment. As the first member of the Strategic Finance team, you'll play a crucial role in building the function and leading strategic initiatives across the organization.
As the Strategic Finance Lead you will:
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for valuation, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Lead planning cycles, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Drive key initiatives, including financing rounds, investor relations, and M&A.
- Be the go-to expert on financial metrics and unit economics.
- Collaborate with marketing and GTM teams to track performance against goals.
- Initially an IC role but will need to be able to build and scale the finance team as the company grows

What You Bring:
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting; MBA/CFA preferred.
- 8+ years including 2+ years in strategic finance or FP&A paired with prior experience in investment banking, M&A consulting, PE/VC
- Strong financial modeling, excel, and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS metrics
- Bonus: Experience with GTM teams, healthcare sector, and subscription/usage-based revenue models.

We’re a remote first company, with teammates spread across the US. For our team members in the Bay Area, who prefer to work in person we can offer a hybrid set up to work from the SF office on a flexible schedule.
Target Base Salary Range: $140K - $190K
The base salary PicnicHealth offers may vary depending upon the scope, complexity, and autonomy of the position and on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total package will include equity, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
