About the role
Solutions Consultants are on the frontlines, working to establish partnerships and drive new business with Ramp’s current and prospective customers. Solutions Consultants deepen customer trust and confidence in Ramp through expert demonstrations and deep product understanding. Working in partnership with Account Executive, Customer Success, and Account Management teams, you’ll identify, prioritize, and build financial solutions for Ramp’s highest-valued customers so that our product continues to scale with their needs.
You will act as the technical and financial subject matter expert for our customers, and design solutions that address the customer’s needs through Ramp and partner integrations. You will be a strategic advisor to customers and a liaison to internal technical teams. You will partner with our go-to-market teams to influence Product, Design, and Engineering teams’ roadmaps to evolve Ramp to offer increasingly higher value to the customer.
You will define the customer’s financial & technical success criteria from deal evaluation to onboarding and through product activation. You will represent Product, Design, and Engineering externally and operate with deep conviction and understanding of Ramp’s technical capabilities. The role requires technical skills necessary to understand and educate on robust accounting features and integrate them across all the touch points and surface areas of a customer.
What you’ll do
Be a subject matter expert across our HRIS, IdP and Accounting integration partners, partnering with Sales, Product and partners to advocate for integration development in line with customer needs
Partner with the Ramp Account Executives to effectively communicate Ramp’s technical accounting features and benefits to customers by delivering tailored product demonstrations, illustrating workflows for admins & end users, and evangelizing Ramp’s value proposition
Propose effective product solutions for each customer by anchoring on a deep understanding of the full range of integration and configuration options
Work directly with Sales & Post-Sales teams to support advanced technical & accounting implementations of Ramp
Assess customer requirements across new opportunities and determine Ramp fit through use-cases, cost-benefit/ROI analysis, and technical competencies via customer discovery
Partner with Product, Product Marketing, and Product Operations to design new technical assets and maintain our internal knowledge base of customer use cases and best practices
What you’ll need
Minimum 8 years in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or similar customer-facing development teams with experience implementing business SaaS solutions and using APIs, ideally within the financial sector
Strong understanding of IdP, HRIS, and/or ERP solutions
Deep understanding of accounting systems, accounting/controllership needs, and finance/accounting workflows
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, finance or accounting
Ability to anticipate customers’ needs and position product solutions accordingly
Excellent engineering, system design and technical specification writing skills
Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills
Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
Bias towards action, adaptability and ability to operate in a high pace environment of a high growth startup
Compensation
The annual salary/OTE range for the target level for this role is $165,750-$195,000 (75/25 split) + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
