Team:
We are looking for an Sr. IT Associate to join our growing Service Desk team at our HQ in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will be working closely with Systems Administrators and Systems Engineers in IT Operations, alongside other IT Associates on the Service Desk team. As a senior associate on the team, you will be an IT “jack-of-all-trades”, continuously enhancing your various IT and Service Desk competencies while also assisting junior level associates on complex issue resolution. This is a hands-on position where you will support the desktop computer experience, launch systems computational and network resources, and bleeding-edge aerospace experts. What you’ll do:
- Enhance Relativity’s IT Operations team to support our growth at our HQ in Long Beach.
- Actively participate in the team’s daily tasking and support requirements
- Answer tickets addressing desktop, user experience, and system issues in a timely and professional manner
- Enhance Relativity’s operational information technology capacity to support our growth across multiple sites
- Install and maintain all user endpoint devices, and infrastructure managed by other IT teams
- Join a team that is focused on ambitious, superb delivery and operation of IT engineered solutions to a technologically advanced userbase spanning many technical disciplines
- Deliver and document solutions that reduce Service Desk requests and repetitive service workloads
- Leverage your desktop operating system wisdom to resolve issues and improve the end user experience, identifying and suggesting improvements to standard practices wherever you can
- Actively engage and support technical and computational challenges with launch operations and networked hardware connecting launch control, launch data acquisition, and rocket systems
- Escalate and track issues through incident/problem lifecycle
- Find new ways to utilize our resources and assets to their fullest capacity
- Train users on complex system and computer function
- Work with rocket scientists!
What you need to know:
- Strong drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, stakeholders, budget, and time.
- Skills in technical systems, hardware repair, and network management
- Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise.
- Ability image, deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile
- Expert level familiarity with both PC and other end point computing hardware and software
- Experience in managing Windows Active Directory and user access controls
- Administrative experience with Microsoft Office 365
- Basic experience in networking, wiring, and basic knowledge in routing, subnets, VLAN’s and security protocols
- Writing and editing skills to aid in writing and updating procedural documents and documenting tickets
- Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
- Experience managing devices in an MDM
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and work outside in various conditions
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
Nice to have but not required:
- 4+ years of experience in a IT Operations role
- Advanced knowledge of Mac, Linux deployment and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with tools such as SCCM, Imaging, ServiceNow. Jira, EDR
