Shift: Schedule may vary for support of customers in multiple time zones.
Salary: $77,000 - $90,000
The qualified individual will play an integral role within our sales division and provide ongoing support to our existing customer base, serving as a key technical resource advising new customers on why to invest in Ripcord cloud.
Overall estimated 10-20% travel required. Role requires strong communication skills, experience in Public Cloud Computing, and a passion for helping clients solve problems. This role will have responsibility for pre-sales cloud engineering focused on AWS, but also with a cloud agnostic approach.
This individual will work to:
- Support a high-performing sales team to align client business and technical needs to cloud based solutions.
- Specify the deliverables of services projects by developing detailed project scopes of work (SOWs) by scoping, defining and commercializing value propositions.
- Clearly present complex ideas and solutions to various audiences.
- Serve as a liaison between Sales and Delivery in the pre-sales process.
- Practice ongoing self-education, stay current on industry trends and best practices, specifically with AWS, and leading cloud providers.
Ideal applicants will meet the following criteria:
- Experienced in capturing and deciphering requirements from informal conversations and formal documents to map RFI/RFP requirements to Ripcord technology solutions.
- Comfortability working with executive level stakeholders/clients to understand issues in technology space and be able to provide solutions to address these issues.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills
- Experience in technical pre-sales consulting with understanding of Cloud technologies in AWS and ideally more than one cloud service provider.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern approaches to cloud infrastructure, software development, and legacy systems modernization.
- Good understanding of hybrid cloud solutions
- An appreciation for micro-services architecture and surrounding technologies/tools (such as containers, etc.)
- Proficiency in assessing options (e.g., risk, performance, cost-benefit) and informing decision makers with persuasive visualizations based upon assessment outputs.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Developing the future state technical vision for customers and new sales prospects
- Regularly interfacing with technical and business staff of customers, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects
- Assisting with proposal writing/technical responses for opportunities. Serve as the technical point of contact on customer pre-sales engagements.
- Communicating effectively with the sales team along with other internal/external parties.
- Works with Sales and Customers to manage expectations and timelines to ensure satisfaction.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners, including other System Integrators. Understanding how to apply partner and cloud solutions in conjunction with professional services.
- Configuring, testing, and maintaining demonstration SaaS systems
Education and Experience
- U.S. Citizen, capable of obtaining a federal clearance if needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or similar preferred.
- 5+years of Pre-Sales Engineering experience.
- Hands on experience in building / configuring / deploying demonstrations for POC / Pilot engagements with customers
- Solid understanding of cloud compliance / certifications (SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, etc)
- Thorough understanding of IT terminology and ability to translate into non-technical terms
- Experience working with customers in developing new technology implementations
