We are looking for an innovative Principal Electrical Engineer to join the team architecting, designing, and implementing our custom high-performance computing platform for our safety critical industrial vision system. This means developing state-of-the art hardware with a rigorous approach to reliability and fault tolerance.

You Will

Own sub-project efforts and take hardware from concept all the way through to production
Perform Embedded System Design - Developing specifications based on requirements from all end users and help defining hardware system architecture
Schematic capture (we use OrCAD CIS), circuit design, defining routing constraints, layout review and PCB manufacturing guidance
Design of power supplies as well as post layout power integrity analysis
Lab bring-up, test, and debugging Debugging system level issues
Develop a deep understanding of IEC 61508 functional safety requirements as they relate to hardware deployment

You Are

BS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience or equivalent
Experienced with industrial PC design or graphic card design and comfortable designing with modern CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs
Familiar with high speed SERDES based I/Fs (e.g. PCIe) and SDRAM (DDR3)
A first-principles thinker who can invent novel solutions to challenging technical problems
You have broad experience with high-speed, high-power, embedded system design
You have proficiency with all standard hardware lab equipment including scopes, logic and spectrum analyzers, signal generators, dynamic loads, protocol analyzers
