About the Role
What You’ll Do
- Create models using SolidWorks
- Design for and utilize rapid prototyping equipment
- Prepare and conduct project reviews
- Assembling prototypes
Basic Qualifications
- US Person
- 2 or more years completed of a BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
- Previous experience with an engineering design team such as SAE Formula Racing, Rocketry, BAJA, or similar
- Familiar with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong hands on fabrication skills and ability to use power tools effectively and safely
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience performing and documenting research
- Experience implementing process improvements in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating lathes, mills, routers, CNC equipment, and/or 3D printers.
- Experience with electrical wiring, soldering, and crimping
- Passion for aviation
