About the Role

We’re looking for an aspiring applications engineering technician to join our team for an internship focused on 3D printing. This opportunity is available immediately and in the Spring/Summer of 2024. In this role you will learn how to load, unload, maintain, and generally operate 3d printers (FDM and SLA). The candidate will support assembly of prototype engine assemblies and ground testing equipment.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and maintain 3D printers to produce high-quality prints
  • Set up and calibrate printers according to specifications
  • Monitor print progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the printing process
  • Perform routine maintenance on printers to ensure optimal performance

What You’ll Need

  • US Person Status
  • Experience with FDM 3D printing and printer operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of various 3D printing materials and their properties

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in R&D space
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or other similar CAD programs.
  • Skill with general hand tools, precision measurement tools, and electronics fabrication.
