Our group's mission is to design, prototype and productionize novel methods and tools for efficient modeling and simulations of complex systems at scale. These tools aid in measuring the safety of our AI and readiness for launch. We use recent advances in machine learning, statistics, optimization, and numerical methods to verify and validate our software and AI in the most challenging environments, and subsequently develop tools to enable other teams at Zoox to do the same.
We are looking for experienced software engineers who can evaluate and synthesize AI driving performance in large scale simulations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, integrating and validating metrics core to the success of our autonomous vehicle stack - the results of which support decisions, direct efforts, and provide clarity for large parts of Zoox. You will work cross-functionally with engineers in AI, simulation, infrastructure, and data science to push the boundaries of scalability and performance.
- Build, integrate, and validate metrics which evaluate vehicle performance in simulation
- Synthesize large scale results for consumption of numerous audiences including AI developers and executives
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects
- 5+ years of industry experience in data-driven algorithm development that inform decision making
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Fluency in production-level Python or C++
