The Powertrain Engineering team at Zoox is responsible for the design, development, and production of an electric powertrain specifically tailored for our autonomous mobility service. As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will support multiple projects in powertrain and charging infrastructure, working with cross-functional teams across the company to meet vehicle and company program milestones. The TPM amplifies the efficacy of the engineering team and works to improve and minimize processes to get work done. Responsibilities
- You will work with cross-functional hardware system owners to translate the top-down vehicle program goals and milestones into detailed product road maps, timelines, and deliverables.
- You will develop schedules based on company milestones and ensure that projects remain on track.
- You will lead the Powertrain change management process coordination with all stakeholders.
- You will establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments, and present them to the executive team.
- You will ensure challenges and risks are identified and proactively ensure that risk-mitigating actions are ongoing within the engineering teams.
- You will prepare and track a department budget forecast and reconcile it with expenses.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering and program management.
- Familiarity with powertrain hardware product development and manufacturing processes, and demonstrated delivery of components with engineering design and development partners.
- Proven track record in managing complex cross-functional projects.
- Proficient in tools required to manage complex projects (i.e. JIRA, Gantt charts, ERP, PLM).
- Ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience.
- Automotive or aerospace experience

- High voltage powertrain experience
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $151,000 to $249,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
