The Safety Strategy and Operations Team at Zoox is a cross-functional organization, responsible for advancing Zoox’s primary safety management system and ensuring a proactive safety culture across the company. The Safety Strategy and Operations Intern will lead a critical independent safety process initiative and support the team’s safety efforts.
As a spring/summer 2024 intern on this team, you will have a valuable opportunity to tackle a substantive, independent project, while also supporting the team’s overall mission. They will have the opportunity to develop relationships, conduct internal projects, and help us with external outreach.
Qualifications
- Experience with data, data mining, or data analysis
- Experience with vehicle safety and safety standards
- Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills
- High-level research and report-writing abilities
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or data science
Bonus Points
- Work experience (full-time or internship) at AV developer/vehicle manufacturer/supplier is a plus
The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $7,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
