Zoox’s 3D Mapping team develops state-of-the art mapping software used to build high-definition geometric maps of the cities we operate in. This work is foundational to enabling autonomy in complex environments.
As part of the team, you will collaborate in building a highly automated, scalable, multi-modality, 3D mapping system. There is a strong need for algorithms to be verifiably robust, operating on diverse data across a variety of environments and conditions.
We are looking for passionate interns who are interested in gaining industry experience and diving into the exciting and challenging data at hand.
Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements
- Excellent understanding of C++
- Strong experience with at least one of the following: pose estimation, SLAM, probabilistic filtering, 3D perception
- Strong mathematical basis
- Experience with software architecture and algorithm design
- Practical robotics experience
- Knowledge of computer vision techniques and machine learning
- Published papers/research
- Passionate about the work
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
