The City Entry & Expansion team in Zoox’s Product & Operations organization is responsible for strategically planning and executing Zoox's entry into new markets. Working cross-functionally with teams across the organization, we drive the technical and product milestones required to successfully launch Zoox's autonomous robotaxi service in each new city. Beyond the initial launch, we also focus on ongoing service improvements and ensuring the operation reaches full scale to benefit more communities. Our mission is to thoughtfully expand Zoox's footprint while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to establish a strong foundation for long-term success in each new location.
The Senior Technical Program Manager, City Entry & Expansion, manages the roadmap for launching Zoox's autonomous robotaxi service in new cities. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Strategy, Product, Operations, Technical, Communications, and Policy, you will drive the successful launch and ongoing growth of Zoox's service in each new market. This role involves defining the service area, scaling plans, and operational targets and leading the integration of strategic planning and execution to hit key milestones. Post-launch, you will shift focus to robotaxi service maintenance and improvements, collaborating with city operations teams to ensure the service meets Zoox's standards and making enhancements as needed.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the management of the roadmap for a new city in conjunction with definitions from Strategy, Product, and Technical teams, including targeted service area, scaling, and operational targets.
- Partner with Zoox product and program managers to drive milestones for your city through planning and execution and will lead the definition and tracking of KPIs for launch, growth, and sustaining the service.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure operational infrastructure for storage, charging, maintenance, and transportation of vehicles is in place for launch and scaling.
- Support external engagements through Comms, Business, Policy, and Operations teams, with community, government (city and state), and commercial partners. You will also work with the Comms & Marketing team on PR campaigns around service in the city.
- Work with the AI & Autonomy teams to place our Highlander test fleet in your city to collect map data and start collecting miles in autonomy.
- Drive enhancements post-launch to the Operational Design Domain (ODD), scaling, and improvements to operations and product offerings in your city.

- Experience taking existing operations and expanding into new markets.
- A track record of managing complex cross-functional projects across multiple disciplines, including engineering, operations, communications, legal, government/regulatory agencies, and commercial partners.
- Inquisitive about exploring new ideas, an independent thinker who continuously learns, and able to tackle tough problems.
- Perform in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and sometimes high-stress environment and are willing to dive into the technical details of the projects you support.
- Experience working in an NPI product-based environment with rapidly expanding market operations
