You will work with engineers across internal vehicle engineering teams, and various suppliers to evaluate design, advise on best practices and develop road maps for future applications.

In this role, you will

  • Apply systems engineering and problem-solving tools and methods (System V, Boundary Diagrams, P-Diagrams, DFMEA, RCL, RDM) for design development, cascading requirements, and project scoping.
  • Deep dive fluid actuation issues regarding valves, pumps, accumulators, and seals
  • Interact with and facilitate cross functional teams in the development of requirements and design verification plans for attribute and robustness assessment.
  • Lead and manage work streams to achieve project deliverables including simulation and testing for technology benefit assessment and demonstration.
  • Develop and analyze simulations and testing to assess system performance and recommend design improvements
  • Collaborate with other teams at Zoox for developing the new technologies
  • Develop and coordinate cross functional inputs and requirements to be shared with suppliers for soliciting design proposals
  • Interact with suppliers to assess new systems and component designs
  • Interact with CAD designers for vehicle package assessment
  • Review and approve systems engineering documentation and communicate engineering assumptions to cross-functional teams
  • Lead cost/weight/performance analysis and trade-off discussions/resolution
