As a Senior Enterprise Solutions Engineer, you will focus on developing comprehensive technical solutions by collaborating with customers to gather requirements and researching new technologies. Key responsibilities include owning the technical design, fostering relationships with Zoox technical teams for solution buy-in, and contributing to development efforts, including coding, packaged application management, and automation within Enterprise Applications Engineering teams.
This isn't just a role; it's an opportunity to leverage your profound full-stack expertise and strong problem-solving acumen to architect, build, and optimize high-impact enterprise applications. You'll be at the forefront of tackling complex technical challenges, directly shaping the scalability and efficiency of our core systems. This role requires on-site/ in person attendance.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate directly with customers to meticulously define requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Drive innovation by continuously researching and learning emerging technologies to understand their functionality and applicability.
  • Design and develop comprehensive solutions that address complex customer problems, encompassing both novel coding-based custom solutions and integrations, as well as sophisticated packaged architectural solutions.
  • Take full ownership of the technical design, guiding it from concept to completion.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Zoox technical teams, ensuring their deep knowledge, active involvement, and crucial buy-in for solution architecture and implementation components.
  • Contribute as a key member within existing Enterprise Applications Engineering teams, engaging in hands-on development (coding), evaluating and optimizing packaged applications, and building robust automation for large-scale enterprise systems.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Senior Solutions Engineering, Software Development, or Technical Lead role, with a primary focus on designing, developing, and delivering complex, enterprise-scale software solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in full-stack application development, including deep proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C#) and extensive experience with API design, integration, and microservices architectures.
  • Proven ability to own and drive technical design from initial requirements gathering through to successful deployment, including architecting scalable, resilient, and secure solutions utilizing containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes on major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Direct experience collaborating with business stakeholders to translate intricate business requirements into precise technical specifications and deliver solutions that directly address strategic objectives.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Track record of successfully implementing automation strategies for large enterprise applications, including practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and operational tooling.
  • Experience with specific enterprise application ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, SAP) and their integration patterns.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio showcasing personal technical projects.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, or business intelligence tools.
