As a Process Improvement Intern
Interns in this pipeline may be considered for opportunities across a range of teams and projects, including:
Team Efficiency: Identify and implement process and organizational improvements for the Fleet Operations team to improve metrics like task volume, handle time and utilization.
Operational Implementation: Provide on-the-ground insight based on fleet operations' current process, evaluating workflow effectiveness and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain support content across internal Knowledge Bases and customer-facing Help Center articles to improve self-service and reduce contact volume.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure documentation and customer content are accurate, on-brand, and aligned with product capabilities.
- Support chatbot and automation workflows by mapping conversation paths, drafting responses, and performing QA.
- Document and optimize end-to-end workflows by consolidating cross-functional processes and identifying gaps through data analysis.
- Support operational improvements and reporting by coordinating initiatives, developing recommendations, and preparing leadership readouts.
Requirements
- Currently working towards an B.S. or M.S. or advanced degree in Political Science, Economics, Business, or relevant fields
- Good academic standing
- Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
- At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant areaAbility to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
- Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with automotive maintenance and repair procedures and/or fleet operations
- Prior customer service experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $7,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
