The Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization’s compensation practices are applied consistently, competitively, and fairly, while aligning with business and strategic goals. Responsibilities include evaluating positions using job evaluation methodologies, determining market pricing and salary ranges, and building tools to analyze and visualize compensation data.
This role supports the evaluation of employee pay by assessing internal equity, external competitiveness, and performance. In addition, the Compensation Analyst partners with HRIS to ensure data accuracy and seamless integration with compensation processes. The role supports the HR function by ensuring seamless integration of data analysis and insights.. The analyst is also responsible for developing and iterating on data analytics, reporting, and insights across People and Compensation data, as well as participating in compensation surveys.
In this role, you will...
- Conduct analyses of salary and benefits packages, benchmarking against industry standards, regional trends, and peer organizations.
- Evaluate positions using job evaluation methodologies to determine appropriate market pricing and salary ranges.
- Ensure compliance with FLSA laws and other applicable compensation regulations.
- Build and maintain tools to analyze and visualize compensation data, enabling informed decision-making.
- Develop data-driven insights to ensure compensation practices align with company goals and budget constraints.
- Evaluate employee pay alignment, considering internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Incorporate employee performance into compensation recommendations where applicable.
- Partner with HRIS to ensure the accuracy and integrity of compensation-related data.
- Support the integration of compensation processes within HR systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Support People Partners and Recruiting on compensation-related decisions, including offer development and approvals.
- Contribute to the compensation review process, identifying opportunities for improvement and consistency.
- Develop and refine recurring and ad hoc reporting on People and Compensation data.
- Generate insights that support decision-making and highlight trends or risks.
- Participate in compensation surveys and benchmarking activities to maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends.
Qualfications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus).
- 4+ years of proven experience in compensation analysis and HR analytics.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.
- Knowledge of compensation laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
