Role overview:
Amca’s General Manager for Electro-Mech Components (EMC) will be responsible for day to day operations, cost and revenue target achievement, finance and strategy development, and receiving mentorship and training alongside current leadership.
Responsibilities:

Customers and Business Development
Manage RFQs, customer relationships, and develop new sales opportunities within existing customer base
Represent EMC at aerospace/defense industry events and maintain relationships with aerospace and defense primes
Lead the team in pursuing profitable new business while maintaining clear focus and priorities

Manufacturing Operations
Ensure on-time delivery meeting quality standards while overseeing supply chain, purchasing, and AS9100 compliance
Direct material movement and manage production for prototype and full-scale manufacturing
Oversee drawing/part number revisions per customer specifications and manage precision machining, sheet metal, and composites production
Implement lean manufacturing principles in regulated environments and direct FOD prevention programs

Compliance
Maintain AS9100, ITAR, ISO 9001 certifications and support customer/government audits
Ensure facility meets requirements for customer engagement and special manufacturing processes

Finance and Strategy
Oversee accounts, import/export compliance, and relevant tasks while managing aerospace and defense contracting regulations
Develop annual and long-term business plans with pricing strategies to identify profitable opportunities
Provide oversight of sales force, cost estimation process, and ensure appropriate pricing for long-term contracts
Prepare and present business unit results with a leadership mindset, telling the story as an owner would
Qualifications:
At least 2 (but not more than 7) years of sales or operations experience in aerospace and defense
Entrepreneurial, proactive, positive and customer focused attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic and energetic mindset; strong critical thinking, problem solving abilities
Well organized and driven
Action-oriented with an ownership mindset
Advanced Excel / analytical skills required, must be able to synthesize data by asking the right questions and analyzing to guide actions
Plus: engineering background or technical skillset
Plus: experience in sub-tier aerospace and defense manufacturing (Tier 2-4)
