Hadrian – Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. By combining advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we are reinventing how America produces its most critical parts. We recently raised $260 million dollar Series C to accelerate this mission. We are excited to be launching a new Factory in Mesa, Arizona, a 270,000 square foot facility that will create 350 new jobs immediately. We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve naval production, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts. Hadrian works with startups, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and major defense contractors across space, shipbuilding, and aviation to scale production, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery on mission-critical programs. We are backed by leading investors including Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz. Our fast-growing team is united by a shared mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond!

The Role

The Quality Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring documentation and compliance for build-to-print aerospace hardware. You will review quality documentation packages for CNC machined, sheet metal, and other aerospace parts, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards and part acceptance criteria. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong knowledge of aerospace quality systems, and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve documentation gaps.

What You'll Do

  • Review and validate quality documentation packages (FAIRs, Dimensional Inspection Reports, Material Certifications, Certificates of Conformance).

  • Ensure all submissions meet AS9100 standards and customer requirements.

  • Verify traceability of parts and materials per engineering drawings and purchase order requirements.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve documentation gaps or discrepancies.

  • Support part acceptance and disposition recommendations for nonconforming documentation.

  • Maintain accurate documentation records per aerospace regulatory retention requirements.

  • Identify and implement process improvements for quality documentation reviews.

  • Review and verify supplier quality documents including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), Certificates of Conformance (C of C), Material Certifications, and Dimensional Inspection Reports.

  • Ensure documents meet AS9100, customer-specific clauses, and purchase order requirements.

  • Validate that customer flow-down requirements are included and properly addressed in supplier documentation.

  • Log, track, and close supplier-related non-conformance reports (NCRs).

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action requests (SCARs) in collaboration with suppliers.

  • Maintain clear, timely communication with suppliers on quality issues and documentation gaps.

  • Compile and submit complete documentation packages (FAIRs, C of C, certs) to customers along with shipped product.

  • Ensure that order-level documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

  • Act as the final quality checkpoint for supplier-provided parts and paperwork before customer submission.

  • Work closely with Hadrian’s procurement, quality, and operations teams to ensure supplier issues are resolved quickly and do not impact deliveries.

  • Partner with engineers and inspectors to confirm that paperwork aligns with inspection results and quality requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace or defense quality assurance or supply chain quality.

  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards.

  • Experience reviewing inspection documentation, including dimensional reports, material certs, and CoCs.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

  • Experience reviewing aerospace/precision machining quality documentation (FAIRs, C of C, certs, dimensional reports).

  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management requirements.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in paperwork.

  • Experience managing supplier NCRs and coordinating corrective actions.

  • Excellent communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience with build-to-print aerospace manufacturing (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, special processes).

  • Exposure to NADCAP, AS9100, or FAA/DoD audits.

  • Hands-on experience with inspection or metrology in aerospace environments.

  • Previous experience as a source inspector or in supplier quality administration.

  • Familiarity with customer portals and digital submission systems for aerospace documentation.

  • Exposure to non-conformance and SCAR tracking systems (e.g., ERP or QMS software).

  • Understanding of aerospace machining processes and terminology.

Compensation

  • $70,000 - $80,000

Benefits

  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees

  • 401k

  • Relocation stipend if you’re moving from outside of LA

  • Flexible vacation policy

ITAR Requirements
