About Reflex
Reflex is the operating system for building mission-critical enterprise applications.
Today's enterprise stack is fragmented. Shipping an app requires stitching together multiple tools and coordinating across multiple roles. Reflex replaces that complexity with a single, unified platform to build, deploy, and manage production applications end-to-end.
We empower teams to own the entire lifecycle of their apps — from idea to production — without needing specialized infrastructure, DevOps, or platform teams. We do this by providing solid, reusable abstractions at both the framework and infrastructure layers. Because we own the underlying open-source framework and the platform it runs on, we can manage the full lifecycle of the application seamlessly.
With Reflex, teams securely connect to company data, use AI to build standardized applications on top of our open-source framework, and deploy with a single click to share across their organization.
We're replacing the fragmented enterprise stack — and the organizational bottlenecks that come with it.
Why join Reflex now?
Growth: Reflex has powered over 1 million applications, earned 28,000+ GitHub stars, and is used by 30% of Fortune 500 companies for internal tools and data-driven applications. Financial services — and quant funds specifically — is one of our fastest-growing verticals.
Team: Work with people who are genuinely passionate about improving the web. Our founding team consists of open source maintainers, top-ranked competitive programmers/IOI medalists, and founding team members from dev tool unicorns.
Future: We are growing extremely quickly and just raised another round of funding.
Why financial services, why now
Quant hedge funds, prop shops, and systematic trading firms run on internal apps — research notebooks turned dashboards, signal monitors, backtesting UIs, risk and PnL viewers, trade ops tooling. Most of it is built and maintained by quants and engineers who would rather be doing research.
Reflex is uniquely suited to this buyer: Python-native, deployable to a fund's own VPC, integrates with the data and auth they already have, and built on a framework their researchers already know. We're winning early lighthouse accounts in the space, and the next move is to own this segment outright.
About the role
You'll own Reflex's financial services go-to-market — with quant hedge funds, prop trading firms, and systematic asset managers as the primary target. This is a senior, founding-style role: you'll set strategy, build relationships at the top accounts in the space, and run the deals that define the segment.
You will:
- Own the financial services pipeline end-to-end — strategy, top-account list, deal execution, and segment forecast
- Personally run the most important deals at the top quant funds and prop shops
- Partner with founders and engineering on technical evaluations, security/compliance reviews, and on-prem / VPC deployments — table stakes for this buyer
- Translate between quant researchers, infra/platform leads, and Reflex engineering — you'll be in the room when a researcher asks "can it do X with our internal data lake?" and you'll know whether the answer is yes
- Build the financial services GTM playbook from scratch: ICP, messaging, demos, security posture, reference architectures, case studies — and hire against it as we scale
- Represent Reflex in the quant community — conferences, alumni networks, technical content — and turn that surface area into pipeline
- Feed product priorities back to engineering with the credibility to actually shape the roadmap for this segment
Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant experience, with deep credibility in the quant hedge fund world. We're open to either path in:
- Domain operator: ex-quant, quant developer, trading engineer, or platform/infra lead at a top hedge fund or prop shop, now moving into GTM
- Enterprise seller: track record of closing seven-figure deals into quant funds at a dev tools, data, or infrastructure company
- A real network at the top quant funds — you can get a first meeting because the person on the other end already knows your name
- Technical literacy in Python and the modern data stack — you don't need to ship code, but you should be able to read it, demo a Reflex app live, and hold your own in a conversation about data pipelines, deployment, and security
- Demonstrated ability to navigate long, complex enterprise cycles with multiple stakeholders — quant teams, infra/platform, security, procurement, legal
- Hands-on experience with on-prem / VPC deployments and the security and compliance bar that financial services brings (SOC 2, SSO/SAML, data residency, vendor risk reviews)
- Builder mindset — comfortable being the first specialist for the segment, writing your own collateral, running your own outbound, and partnering directly with founders without a layer of management in between
- Bonus: prior founding-AE or first-vertical-lead experience at a dev tools or data infra company; existing public presence in the quant community (talks, OSS, content, alumni network)
Technology
Reflex, HubSpot / Salesforce, Python, AWS, Snowflake / Databricks, Okta / SSO, on-prem and VPC deployments
About the interview
- Once you've submitted your application, the team will review your submission and reach out for an intro call with the founding team.
- After the intro call, expect a deal walkthrough (we'll ask you to talk through a real financial services deal you ran end-to-end), a technical conversation with engineering on Reflex's architecture and the quant-fund deployment model, and an on-site with 2–3 founder and cross-functional interviews, each around 45 minutes.
- Final step is a working session — bring a 30/60/90 plan for the financial services segment and we'll pressure-test it together.
- Once the interviews are over, the team will meet to discuss, and may ask one or two follow-up questions over email or a quick call before going to an offer.
