Founded in 2018 with co-headquarters in Dublin and Boston, Tines powers some of the world's most important workflows. Our orchestration, automation, and AI platform enables businesses to operate more effectively, mitigate risk, reduce tech debt, and focus on high-impact work.

Tines serves a diverse range of customers, from startups to public companies, including Canva, Databricks, Elastic, Kayak, Intercom, and McKesson. As an integrator across the entire tech stack, Tines connects with any API-enabled service. This flexibility enables our customers to achieve their highest-priority goals faster. And because Tines is secure and private by design, it’s popular with security, IT and other security-focused teams.

At Tines, we're driven by our values of Simplicity, Speed, and Soundness. We're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences while fostering a company culture that nurtures individual curiosity, growth, and integrity. We’re excited about what’s next, and we’re looking for others to join us on our journey.

Reporting to the Director of Product Engagement, you will work in our broader 50+ person product, design, and engineering team. We avoid harsh boundaries in our collective work to build a successful product that our customers love to use. But generally speaking, product engagement is responsible for driving usage of Tines. We combine data, ideas, and experimentation to deploy a range of tactics to drive that usage.

While we offer lots of flexibility between office and remote work, regular meet-ups are important, so being close enough to travel to our Dublin office regularly is preferred.

About this role:

You will build and operate a system that generates many thousands of templates to integrate with the many hundreds of products most commonly used by our customers.

This role is about scale. While manual at times, you’ll also need to think beyond manual work and develop systems that do the heavy lifting for you. You’re excited by automation, efficiency, and making things work better. You will be constantly looking for opportunities to improve and fine-tune the process to make it more robust and efficient.

You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers who have built early versions of the system, ensuring integrations are high-quality and aligned with product needs.

You will operate with a high degree of independence, driving measurable output in terms of integration volume and quality.

Progression:

This is a rare and unique opportunity with a clear path for progression within our wider product organisation. This is an entry level opportunity, but as you grow in this role you’ll have the chance to take on increasing responsibility, collaborate with senior teammates in engineering and the product teams, and make meaningful contributions to the shape of our product.

About you:

Experience:

No specific experience is required! But strong technical curiosity and acumen are essential. You might have recently studied engineering, computer science, or another technical field, but your job will not be primarily to write code (although sometimes you might). Maybe you’re a self-taught coder, a hacker at heart, or someone who’s built automations just for the challenge. What matters most is that you’re:

  • technically very sharp
  • eager to dive into building stories in Tines
  • great at reading, understanding, and parsing API documentation
  • comfortable experimenting with technical tools to solve complex problems.

We’ll be looking for all of this in the hiring process ☝️

Technical understanding & problem-solving:

You have a deep curiosity and acumen for software, tools, and automation. You are in your comfort zone debugging and troubleshooting technical issues independently until you arrive at a solution.

Ownership mentality:

You’ll ship the templates you build to our customers daily. This means you’re the kind of person that thrives in an environment where you can operate autonomously. You’re confident in your ability and don’t wait for permission to solve problems, you just dive in. You’ve got the best attention detail out of everyone you know, a desire to do high-quality work, and the flexibility to do what it takes to get things done.

Ambition:

This role will be challenging and require you to work hard. You should be eager and driven to make a significant impact early in your career, collaborating with a world-class product team to build an exceptional product.

Communication:

Lastly, you're an excellent communicator, both written and verbally. We care deeply about this one.

At Tines, we’re all about trying new things and taking the leap. If you’re second-guessing your application, we hope you’ll trust your gut and take the leap too! Applying for a new job isn’t always easy, especially if you’re thinking of a career pivot – but we’re big believers in learning and growth here at Tines, so you’ve nothing to worry about. A variety of experience, perspectives, and voices makes us the company we are. We’d love to hear from you.
